Hello All,

Mike and I are going to where it all began!

It seems God is continuing a work He began in Mike's heart nearly 10 years ago. The fact is, the adoption of Anastasia and Jonathan was an outcropping of compassion for orphans specifically in a small eastern European country called Moldova. The reports of human trafficking and drug running of orphaned children in that country were the springboard God used to lead us to adopt our precious twins from Ukraine, but Moldova has since been on our hearts and minds. Over the years we have had a handful of encounters with people from Moldova who have confirmed the difficult living conditions there. Each of them was in the US on work visas just to send money to their families or to get an education. They said they were the lucky ones. As God would have it, we recently met someone who does a lot of ministry and mission work in Moldova. Tomorrow, Mike and I will be traveling to meet him in the capital city of Moldova to tour the country with respect to the many works that are being done there. Mike and I are convinced that God is going to show us what He has in mind for us specifically. It is our prayer that our minds and hearts will be open to His clear calling-whatever it is.

As we prepare for this new adventure, we have confirmation that we are in God's will for several reasons:
1. God's past track record in our lives. He is faithful! He carried us through the work He did in Ukraine 7 years ago which resulted in the blessing of our twins coming together with their incredible big sisters to create an amazing illustration of God's love for each of us and His willingness to go to the ends of the earth to save us and make us His own!
2. Peace that passes understanding. Words cannot express...
3. Opposition. This entire week has been filled with difficult and/or emotional dealings with people we love so much! When strife hits so hard and so close to such a journey of faith, we have been told it is often direct opposition by the enemy; however, what Satan means for evil, God means for good, and through this opposition, an idol in our hearts was revealed and a stronghold torn down! Mike and I have determined to step out in faith and to "just trust God!"
4. Environmental clues. Every sermon, every scripture in our devotionals, every word of faithful friends and family and every worship song has been speaking to our journey confirming the presence of the Holy Spirit around us as well as within us!

Please be checking back as we will be updating this blog on a laptop we are bringing with us. We ask for your prayers for our trip as well as prayers for our children at home.

Blessings,
Mike and Rose
